Current Story

Currently, two significant storylines are unfolding in Yuki's life, with one leading into the other.
As an adult, Yuki finds himself grappling with the mysterious intentions of his elders and his peculiar role as a personal weapon of sorts. His confusion begins to unravel when he discovers that his body harbors a pair of sibling voidsents, a revelation that sheds light on his unique status.
Over time, with the aid of others, Yuki manages to expel one of the voidsents. While the other, Ellmoth, enters into a contract with him, forging an unexpected partnership. As Yuki adapts to this newfound dynamic, he realizes that Ellmoth requires sustenance, a need that cannot be met by indiscriminately siphoning aether from living beings. This ethical dilemma weighs heavily on Yuki, especially as he acknowledges that others afflicted by voidsents likely face similar challenges.
Drawing upon his training as an alchemist, Yuki contemplates a solution: synthesizing aether. He ponders the possibility of breaking down existing substances to create artificial aether, a concept that holds the potential to alleviate Ellmoth's hunger and, perhaps, offer a lifeline to others grappling with similar predicaments.

History

Yuki's early years were little more than a blur. If he closed his eyes and tried to remember, all that remained was the strong scent of magnolia flowers. The rest was fleeting, lost to time. As he grew older, he learned the harsh truth—his mother had passed away, leaving him in the care of a training school she had chosen for him.He was soon immersed in the strict discipline of a dojo, quickly becoming one of its top apprentices. His ambitions soared—he dreamed of becoming a master himself. He trained relentlessly, mastering combat and alchemy alike. At first, his instructors were like guardians, guiding a lost child. But as they saw his potential, their motives shifted. To them, Yuki became a tool—one they could use to gain power, wealth, and fame.Despite the dojo’s rigid hierarchy, two people became like family to Yuki—Daizo and his son, Izumi. Daizo had been meant to inherit the school, but his father’s hold over it kept him from doing so. Watching the elders exploit both Yuki and Izumi, Daizo decided to set them free. But the school’s leaders weren’t willing to lose their most valuable assets without a fight. In the chaos that followed, Izumi seized an opportunity and led Yuki away. They ran for years, but fate eventually tore them apart. Before their separation, Izumi brought Yuki to Sharlayan, hoping to connect him with a Gleaner at the school there. He had seen the promise in his younger sibling’s skill with alchemy and everything tied to it. To Izumi, this was the safest place for Yuki—a place where he could build real relationships and independence. With Sharlayan’s closed-off nature, he believed the elders of their father’s dojo would never be able to reach Yuki again. But over time, Yuki’s journey led him to the Bozjan Southern Front, where his time in battle came to an abrupt end when he met a silver-haired man. Recognizing Yuki’s potential, the stranger took him in as a student. Together, they founded the Bronze Kitsune—an unassuming izakaya and inn tucked away in the Mist of Limsa Lominsa. There, Yuki began to piece together the secrets of his past, uncovering why his former masters had fought so hard to keep him under their control.
